Dempsey was brought in as an approved painting and decorating subcontractor at Anfield, working across the stadium’s kiosks and concourses.

Fire doors and frames finished in the club’s red and white, kiosk serveries taken back to a clean, hard-wearing finish, and the concourse detailing that thousands of supporters walk past on a matchday.

Stadium work means induction and passes before a brush comes out — and the same protection, prep and finish that goes into a front room in Birkenhead, applied to one of the most recognisable grounds in world football.
